Kemindo's energy division started in 2013 as a coal trader and now operates its own open-pit coal mine in Riau Province, supplying steam coal of GAR 4800–6000 to domestic and export markets.

Kemindo Group has had an energy division since 2013, starting by selling coal as a trader. Over time we acquired our own coal mine in Riau Province.

At our open-pit mine in Riau Province, the mining process includes blasting, overburden removal, coal getting and crushing. Our coal is categorised as high-calorie coal and is delivered not only to Sumatra but also exported to other countries.
